The Process

Every Mukzin Select piece begins at the crossroads of culture—our design centers in Hangzhou and Auckland. In Hangzhou, we draw from the deep well of Chinese heritage: embroidery traditions, mythic stories, and centuries-old textile artistry. In Auckland, we infuse this with modern global sensibilities, shaping silhouettes that resonate with today’s world.

Over several months, our team sketches, experiments with fabrics, and translates vision into technical drawings. From first samples to fittings, each garment undergoes countless refinements until heritage and innovation stand seamlessly side by side. What arrives in your hands is the result of patience, craft, and cultural conversation.

What the Future Holds

For Mukzin Select, design is not only about aesthetics but responsibility. Our future lies in bridging heritage with sustainability—choosing fibres that care for the earth, working transparently with our partners, and continually innovating in materials and process. Each collection is a step forward, a dialogue between the past we honor and the future we dream of.
