Preferred Fibres: Reimagining Materials

Preferred Fibres: Reimagining Materials

For us, fabric is not only material—it is memory. Each fibre holds stories of landscapes, artisans, and histories. By carefully choosing our materials, we honour the past while protecting the future.

Our commitment is to increase the use of preferred fibres—those that reduce impact on ecosystems, conserve resources, and maintain beauty without compromise.

Our Responsibility, Our Future

Mukzin Select was born from heritage, but looks firmly to tomorrow. We carry a responsibility—to our people, our communities, and to the earth that sustains us. Every collection is designed with consciousness: less waste, more intention, and respect for the balance between craft and nature.

Our Responsibility, Our Future

Preferred Fibre Transition

Recycled Fibres

We are shifting from conventional polyester and nylon to recycled alternatives—giving new life to what was once discarded, and reducing dependence on virgin resources.

Regenerated Cellulose Fibres

Also called MMCF, these fibres are created from wood pulp and transformed into flowing fabrics. We work with partners who protect ancient forests and avoid harmful processing, so that the garments breathe lightly on the planet.

Organically Grown Fibres

Cotton grown without harmful pesticides preserves soil and water health. As we integrate organic fibres into our collections, we strive for harmony between cultivation and creation.

What the Future Holds

Sustainability for us is not a finish line but an ongoing journey. At Mukzin Select, we are committed to evolving with each collection—seeking out artisans and suppliers who share our values, investing in new materials and processes that honour both nature and craft, and designing garments intended to endure beyond seasons. Every step we take is a promise to create responsibly, carrying our heritage forward while protecting the world we all share.
